Always check what type of connection your instrument uses to send the video signal to the outside. If you are using a DSLR therefore a digital SLR or mirrorless camera it is very likely that the output is HDMI . Easy right No not at all.

The Sony as in fact has a very nice microHDMI output which is not miniHDMI. So it needs a special cable.
